I’ve been using my mom’s computer to get some stuff done and I’m dying.
You see, she has dial up.
I am supposed to work quickly so I don’t tie up the phone line too long but I can’t work very quickly because I’m on a stinking phone line.
They told me that when I went high speed, I’d never go back but I was sure that if the price difference became too much, I’d be able to switch back in a flash. I now know otherwise. I’m not sure what I will do if I have to go back to dial up for good.
What happens if they don’t have high speed in our new town? What lengths should I go to to get it? What lengths WILL I go to to get it?
I shudder to think, but I really don’t want to live this dial-up life forever.
