Pregnancy Clothing

Saturday 1 March 2008

Getting pregnant is surprisingly easy when you compare it to finding decent maternity clothes.  Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to buy clothes that flatter the body instead of making it stand out like an enormous tent in a miniature display?  And wouldn’t it be nice to be able to afford more than one outfit?

Here are a couple tips

1) Buy a pair of maternity jeans - whatever the cost.  They are versatile and can be very comfortable late in pregnancy.

2) Get only one really dressy outfit.  It is HIGHLY unlikely you will need more than one.

3) If you’re working, get maternity dress pants.  There’s nothing more annoying than wearing a maternity dress that gets shorter as you get bigger.  You start with something knee length and end up with a mini skirt.

4)  In the last two weeks or so of your pregnancy, nothing you’ve bought in the proper size is going to fit. Save some of your clothing budget and buy sale items near the end of your pregnancy knowing you won’t be using them for long so you might just as well go cheap.
