National Treasure II Review

The best part of this movie was the Disney short that played before hand.  National treasure was NOT horrible but if you have to describe a movie as ‘not horrible’ it’s definitely one to wait to go to DVD or the dollar theatre (whichever is cheaper).  The destinations were lovely to look at (sometimes) and the plot line was fascinating (sometimes) but implausible (always).  And you will wonder at least once while you’re watching how finding a city of gold is going to help exonerate Nicholas Cage’s great-grandfather.  Without giving too much away, let me say that the bit about ‘page 47′ is completely meaningless and a blatant attempt to set up for another movie in the series, so just ignore it or you’ll get upset when the credits role.  If you see this movie, you’ll love the Disney short and you won’t feel the need to walk out in disgust but you might want to leave after the short just so you don’t feel like you wasted your time later.
