I’m sure we’re all choking over the price of gas at the pump.  Is it wrong to hope for a recession in China just so oil demand decreases?

Since the car fire (see my previous blog post here), we’ve been making due with one car pretty well, but carpooling hasn’t cut the gas bill - it’s gone up, up, up.   We now do a 30 mi roundtrip commute - twice a day since I need the car to pick up my son from school in the afternoon.  This ends up being about 18mi more per day than when we had two cars.  Maybe this isn’t the definition of carpooling, but we did get a car off the road.  Too bad it wasn’t the less fuel efficient one.

I think we now spend as much on gas as we do on food.  You know what that means, right?

We need to eat more.
