Skin Health and Holiday Fruit Salad

So for holiday’s I always seem to be assigned a fruit dish to bring to whatever gathering is going on. I shouldn’t complain. It’s easy and since I don’t cook without setting fires everywhere it’s best I deal with a cold dish. But I feel like I achieved all I can in this area – reached my fruit dish peak if you will. This Christmas, I put together 3 dishes (ok, they were just fruit salads at best) for one gathering and they were BEAUTIFUL! I like to include strange fruits when I can so this time I picked up a blood orange to act as a garnish sort of thing but in the past I’ve included kiwi and I once tried to include pomegranate but didn’t have time to work that one out. Anyway, the up shot is that I had alot of left-overs. Apparently these people don’t know the benefits of fruit (or maybe that’s what they eat all the time and splurged with the meat this time – actually, knowing the people I was with this is likely true). I just read today about a fruit I had never heard of before called gac. It’s grown in Asia and I don’t think we’ve ever had it in the local stores but apparently it’s full of those really good antioxidants. In fact I think the only way to benefit from this fruit here in the states is to get it as a supplement. There’s something called R.G. Skin Revitalizer that helps rejuvenate skin and it’s a vitamin supplement made from the red gac (hence the R.G.). If you want to try it, let me know how it tastes and maybe I’ll sprinkle some over my next fruit salad.
