Park models bill themselves as a type of home that you can retire in. They do look super cute to me. They remind me a bit of the type of homes I think I’ve seen on shows that talk about downsizing your life. If you’re hoping to get out from under a huge mortgage, this might be the way to go.

I discovered Pintrest. I didn’t realize you could get an account with them because I never thought that I might want to pin something. Thank goodness there are people out there who actually do want to do that. I reap all the benefits – including several new recopies and a few ideas for summer projects!

Hide A Computer

My mom was recently in the hospital getting her hip replaced so I got to see a new wing of the place. Usually I just see the OB ward – I think you can figure out why. They have these really cool hide-a-computer closets. (You can see some at Howard-Medical.com computer cabinet.) But I think they would be a great way to tuck a computer away at home. Especially if you have limited space and have to have your living room or bedroom double as your office space.

Polite Crud

Yikes – the muck at the bottom of my pool has really gotten gross. I tried vaccuuming today and only made it a third of the way through before I had to backflush. The weird thing is that the water is crystal clear. Usually when I get this kind of muck it pretty much gets everywhere but this time it’s politly sticking to the sides waiting for me to suck it up.

I like this crud a lot more than last year’s crud!

Not Really a Sacrifice

If I had my way, my interior would include a water feature like wall fountains. As long as I only hear the sound of the water falling and not the sound of the motor humming, I think it would be very relaxing. They come in a lot of different designs that I like so I imagine that picking my favorite might be difficult but I’m willing to make that sacrifice.

I’m here blogging and my wonderful live in chef (aka my better half) is making me some fried ravioli. I starved myself in a most unhealthful way all day so that my stomach would be empty for this culinary delight! I survived on only pepperoni, grape sized tomatoes and tons of diet Mountain Dew. Now I’m jittery but still hungry and am very much looking forward to a late dinner.

Aren’t you jealous?

My oldest has just returned from his first ever overnight trip without relatives along. He and his entire 5th grade spend 4 days in the woods, camping. The siblings missed him, the parents missed him, the extended family has inquired about his return.

His first words to me upon seeing me were ones I will hold dear forever:

“Where’ve you been?!”

Oh adolescence, I have so long awaited your arrival!

I’ve been to Florida just twice in my life and both times it was to visit DisneyWorld. I hear there are other things to do, like visit the wonderful beaches. I’ve always stayed in hotels in Orlando or very nearby because I want to be as close as possible to all my Disney fun! Or as close as possible to my Sea World fun!

Really, is there anything else in Florida?

With all they hype surrounding the ‘appearance’ of Tupac last month at that famous concert that I’d never heard of before, I’m beginning to think we’re seeing the end of the live performance. Why be there when you can have your hologram take your place? Performers won’t make mistakes (unless they decide to include them on purpose) and that also means the end of the ‘wardrobe malfunction ala Janet Jackson, though not ala Kanye.

I’m being so hip and with it, I better stop.
