If you are thinking of ‘retooling’ and going into a new career, consider the possibility of massage therapy. Who among us has not wished for a massage when we got home from a long day’s work? Well, believe it or not, there are those who actually go ahead and get a massage (I did this once myself and it was wonderful). Message Therapist Jobs (of course I mean massage therapist jobs) do need certification in many places so you need to go to class, but if you’re one of those people who thinks you give great massages but really don’t, you’ll just be doing us all a favor:)
Good Luck

I must admit I don’t actually have any personal experience with GPS but when you hear about people following the thing’s directions and ultimately driving into a ditch or something, you have to think that you should get the best one around. This is especially true for those who make driving their living – like truckers. If you want the best trucker GPS, you should definitely check into what exactly makes it work and how well it will be updated after you get it.

If you’ve got a job but you’re looking to further your education and maybe switch professions, you can look into the convenience of an online business degree. I’ve taken several online classes myself and as long as you set a schedule for yourself, it saves a lot of time over going in to class 3 or 4 times a week. Also, because of lower overhead, these classes may be cheaper than those at regular universities.
An online business degree is something to think about.

You’re looking for a job, you don’t think you’re ever going to find one in your field so you’ve decided you might consider going back to school. You’re going to ‘re-tool’ you skill set. There are still growing industries out there that are worthwhile to look at even during tough economic times. Tech jobs, nursing, business administration are just a few of those that come to mind.
If you’re unemployed think about how much you’re willing to do to get a job. Some of these careers can be begun after only a few months of schooling if you’re looking at an entry level job. Others require a few years. Of course these usually pay more. Decide what you want and then go for it.

They say that the technical field is one of the few career fields that continues to grow. So if you know what pci hosting is, you’re probably tech savy enough to get yourself an education in this field and then parlay your talent into a full fledged job.
On the other hand, if you are already a doctor, the health industry is hiring. They pay gets worse as the years go by but for now it’s probably still a bonanza for you.

Have you considered banking careers? Sure it seems like right now isn’t the best time to venture into that industry, but if you really think that, then you’re also probably hiding your life savings in your mattress.
Banks are firmly backed by the government and really haven’t suffered much in the way of layoffs – unless the bank has gone completely under. If you find a place for yourself at a well established and well managed bank, a career like this can be quite lucrative.

Even though the economy is still in trouble and jobs are hard to come by, you still need to keep your head up and keep looking for work. The unemployment rate is higher than it has been in quite a while, but you won’t find a job if you don’t look for one. If your looking for a job in the Philly area, maybe you can get one of the available philadelphia airport jobs. Good luck and good hunting!

How do you spell ‘bad day at work’? Not R-O-L-A-I-D-S. I spell it 2-M-O-U-N-T-A-I-N-D-E-W-S-A-N-D-A-S-L-I-C-E-O-F-P-I-Z-Z-A. Then kick back and watch a new episode of whatever is on (not Leno – still boycotting). I’m planning on going to bed early and hoping that today will fade into oblivion. And I’m looking on the bright side – tomorrow could be worse, but it PROBABLY won’t be

For those unfortunate that have recently been disabled in some way and are no longer able to work, the economy makes this a tough time to be unable to work. Fortunately, the government has set up a program for social security disability. This website provides a great amount of information about the program and the amount of money that is spend each year helping people out.

I just got to go back to work today and they started us out with our annual, “Don’t do this, report that” meeting. It’s totally dull but also totally informative and necessary. I know when I needed this information during the middle of last year, all I could think was, “What did they say I’m supposed to do now?” So this time I took notes. If what happened last year happens again, I’m ready. It would be a good thing if there was no repeat though.

Now that I’ve gotten a job and want to get raises, I have to look into getting my masters degree. Having done some post graduate work through online classes with good success, I’ve been trying to look into online master degrees. The problem is that most places offering such things are places you need to make sure are real. They aren’t backed up with a well known name – or even a little known name.
I’ve only heard of one – Gonzaga University in Washington state – that is really well known and respected. Alot of the more well known places are afraid to enter the online world because they think it will diminish the quality of the education offered. But if you’re like me, you need your masters to keep your job and don’t have the luxury of leaving in the middle of the day to get to class so you’re happy that there’s anyone willing to enter what is sure to be the wave of the future in education.

I’m getting ready to go back to work so of course I need to reevaluate and make sure that working 50 miles from home will still turn a profit for me. The price of day care for my two youngest is going up and the price of after school care for my two oldest is also going up.
The silver lining is that the price of gas is so much less than it was at this time last year.
Of course, I didn’t get a raise (not that $750 a year would have really mattered in my budget) because of school district budgets being tight.
Overall, though I think it still works out to our benefit, monitarily anyway. The jury is still out on whether or not I am destroying my children’s futures by not staying home.

Everybody hates lawyers… until you need one.
That’s the phrase that everybody uses to explain the almost universal loathing of the American legal system and yet our society has become more and more litigious with each passing year. It is mostly when an accident occurs on the roads or in the hospital that the opportunity for a lawsuit most commonly presents itself. Look into Rochester medical malpractice attorney for any type of situation where you might require some legal advice or representation.

IT jobs have been it for a number of years now. Even with a monumental recession looming there are still hundreds of companies actively looking for quality information technology personnel to fill key positions in their corporation. Developers, directors, officers, managers, and engineers are all needed for jobs in IT. If you have the necessary skills and experience, you could move up the ladder while everyone else is falling off. Good for you.

There have been many, many sites on the web over the past decade that promised to help you find a job, but the problem with many of those sites was that the jobs were in a different part of the country. If you are a resident of Atlanta or the general Atlanta area, you can search for jobs in Atlanta at a site that features only jobs in Atlanta. Good luck in your new career.

One thing that I think every respectable company needs from Fortune 500 to the smallest of small businesses is a pen with the company name and logo on the side. Don’t advertise for the pen companies when you hand a client a pen, advertise for yourself. And while you’re at it, get some markers and highlighters with your company name and logo on it too. You can really put your company name on anything from a hat to a stadium, but start with personalized pens.

As winter slowly changes into spring and summer is fast approaching, especially here in Arizona, many law enforcement organizations are looking at the end of the fiscal year. If your department has some extra money to spend this year or you’re starting to organize for next year’s budget, look into outfitting your officers with all of the equipment that they’ll need. Whether that be tactical boots, flashlights, holsters, gloves, tools, or weapon cases, you’ll find it all here.

When I was student teaching, my mentor teacher told me that when she was working on her undergraduate Mathematics degree in Canada, they had an interesting program where the school would place her in an internship for 3 months and then she would take classes for 3 months. It alternated this way for her entire time there, giving her experience as she earned her degree. Everyone who has ever applied for a job knows that unless you have some experience, you’re going to start at the absolute bottom or more likely not be qualified for the job at all. You can’t get a job without having experience but there seems to be no way to get that experience so the program she was in helped her overcome that hiccup in life.
Up until this point, I thought that was a Canadian thing and not possible here in the US, but now I’ve heard about Kettering and their engineering co-op programs that are very similar. Kettering is only one of 14 universities in the entire country to offer this so it’s no wonder I hadn’t heard about it before. Students are placed with companies starting their freshman year.
Whether you’re interested in industrial engineering, biochemistry of computer science, Kettering can be the place for you since they are ranked #11 overall on the US News & World Report ‘America’s Best Colleges 2008′ list (#1 in the Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering category). Apparently, their innovative approach to education works.

Over the years I have participated in many different assessment tests that the HR departments of the many companies that I’ve worked for have given to the employees. The self assessment tests have always been the best because it allows for so much input from the actual employee. This web-based 360 Feedback Software gives HR managers the most options in how to test and evaluate employees efficiently.

How many of you belong to LinkedIn? This networking site is more for professionals but even if your just looking to reconnect with old friends or colleagues, you can create a profile. It’s very simple to join (I did in about 5 minutes) and you can post your resume to the site and use it to get leads for your business like George Divel III has.
