One day we’re going to need a new couch (our children go through couches like water through a sieve).  I don’t know if we’ll get a modern sofa or an old fashioned couch but if we still have kids around, it’s gonna be brown.  I covet those beautiful white couches they sell at stores but I know how impractical they are unless your planning on buying them and immediately transporting them to a dust free museum where no one will ever touch it.

My tastes do tend toward the more colorful so one day in the distant future (probably after color is outlawed) I will buy a red couch and put brown pillows on it so that I can be the complete opposite of what I am now.

It’s all I can do to keep myself from going to Target and buying, buying, buying.  I’ve got an urge to shop and no money to shop with.  Well, I have some money to shop with, but believe me when I say that it would be a bad financial move to do so and that I’ll be paying for it (no pun intended) next summer if I give into this urge right now.

I’m not even talking about credit card use.

My sister had a paw print made for her dog and when I was working in HR a long time ago, we had them made up for putting return addresses on envelopes. My boss magically knew of a place that made them. I recently spotted a shop in m y new neighborhood too. And, as it is with just about anything, I bet you could find a place online as well.

My husband told me that if I hinted I wanted jewelry for 2 holidays or special occasions in a row and didn’t get any, it would be fine if I bought my own.  Well that has come and past and now I’m looking (hoping the day will come when such a thing will once again become an affordable luxury).  I don’t think I’ve got the guts to buy gold online but I also feel guilty when I go into a store knowing I won’t be buying anything so I’m at a bit of an impasse.  For now, I liberally browse on line stores which have shops I could one day go into.  Fun fun.
