I think Valentine’s Day is my least favorite holiday. There’s all this pressure to give a gift that says all you feel for your loved one but how do you wrap up all that emotion in something like a colorful mug? I know from experience that you don’t.
Maybe you can think of what you are looking for in a Valentine’s Day gift and figure that if you like it, they’ll like it. If you aren’t a romantic and they are, this could go terribly wrong so watch out.
I guess the best way to go is to try to make it romantic. If they don’t like romance, they’ll still get the idea that you’re trying. Buy chocolates or flowers - it doesn’t matter if your buying for a guy or gal, these still work.
Another idea is to take a nice picture and plan on putting it in a frame. If you take it a step further and have it changed into art (like you can do at Photofiddle.com) it’ll look even better and you’ll be sure to impress even the least sentimental of people.
Good luck - with all this pressure, we’re all going to need it.
