Migraine Help

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

Regardless of where you live, you may be among the huge number of us who suffer from migraines. In Texas you have the Dallas Migraine facility that can be a great resource for finding relief from these bothersome and debilitating headaches. Being proactive about your treatment, no matter what your ailment is, can be relieving in itself. Decide to day that you want to do something about your migraines and then start figuring out what that something is.

Humorous Anecdote

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

As is my habit from time to time, I like to share a story about my children. In this case it involves my oldest daughter. We had discussed how Easter isn’t always on the same day and how I think it may even happen in March every once in a while. She said, “You should look it up.” I said, “I could look in an almanac.”

She paused and politely corrected my pronunciation, “In – ter – net.”

POS System

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

If you need a new POS system for your business (especially if it is a restaurant) you might want to look into the Aldelo System which has a variety of features. See if this kind of system would make your business easier to manage and also do a cost/benefit analysis to see if it fits into your business model. Good Luck!

Christmas Excess

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

I feel overwhelmed by the season. It’s very close to Christmas and I feel like I have no time to finish everything that needs to be done. Somehow I’ll muddle through, never fear.

Colder

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

What wouldn’t I give for a couple electric kettles right now? Very little. My room is freezing and I’ve got the tiny little space heater running and the room’s too big for it to do any real good. I’m going to crawl under 4 blankets but I don’t think it’ll help much – blankets can only hold in heat and since I’m not putting any out, there won’t be any for them to hold in.

Did I mention that it’s cold?

Cold

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

OMG it’s 66 in my house. Is there ANYONE who thinks that’s OK? My fingers are so cold I can barely type.

The heater is defrosting itself. Am I being unreasonable, or shouldn’t a heater expect that it would be needed when it’s cold and not need to defrost itself.

Too bad I’m the first one to think of that little hiccough in the system.

Gardening

Monday, December 5th, 2011

I recently started growing vegetables in my backyard. I took a pickax to the ground and earned myself a doozy of a blood blister on my thumb. But the plants have grown and they look like they may live. Since it’s my first time, that’s all I’m really hoping for – that I get them through the winter. They’ve stopped growing since the colder weather came in and tonight is supposed to get near freezing, so I’ll have to take certain measures but I think it’ll be ok.

One thing I’m thinking of doing for the next season of crops is getting a composter. I had to buy dirt to start my garden and that doesn’t make much financial sense to me since my yard is already full of dirt. But from the standpoint of it being easy, it made a lot of sense. But a composter can be easy too if you have patience. Put in your scraps, wait a long time and out comes beautiful dirt. I look froward to seeing how well this works for me.
