When I was a kid watching Warner Bros. cartoons, I always thought that the Acme company had something to do with Acne treatment. Who knows, maybe they did. If you’re not sure about which acne treatments are the best or most popular than you can research which chemicals are the most effective for the most people and see the reviews that all sorts of different types of zit medication got online.

Monday, August 4th, 2008First season Prison Break review
Monday, August 4th, 2008So I’m not quite finished with the first season of Prison Break yet, but I have like what I’ve seen so far.
I do like how long-running TV shows can extend the plot to cover much more than you could in the average feature film. However, there are times when it feels like the writer’s are trying to pad things out to make through a full season without totally blowing all of their story ideas. Plus it is only a TV show with a limited budget, and it is cheaper to film people talking than to film things blowing up.
The characters have yet to actually break out of prison yet, but you can tell that they’re getting close. Great concept and so far pretty good delivery of the concept. Even my wife is hooked.
Get in shape or become famous
Monday, August 4th, 2008If you’re looking to get in shape, a treadmill is one of the best ways to go. Especially out here in the fierce desert where walking at certain times of the day could pose a serious health risk, you want to be able to walk where it is a little cooler than outside. Even if you’re already in shape, the prices on these treadmills are so good, you could even buy more than one, make a music video, and become famous.
Darkman review
Monday, August 4th, 2008I’ve long been a fan of Sam Raimi and his unique style of filmmaking, so it seems strange that I’ve only seen Darkman once (a long time ago). Well I’ve rectified that problem.
It’s hard to describe how odd Darkman is. The movie features much of the Superhero vibe that the SpiderMan movies contain, but still much of the darkness of the Evil Dead movies. Darkman even contains much of the slanted camera angles and strange humor of Raimi’s previous work. Even the choices of Liam Neeson as the hero and Frances McDormand as the love interest are strange for a superhero movie.
The entire movie plays as a setup to the Darkman character without going too much further. Since I got the entire Darkman collection, I can’t wait to finally see the sequels. Even though they aren’t Raimi directed films, Darkman is an interesting character and I’m glad to see the continuation of his story.
