My husband said he wanted a projector and brought home his brother’s to convince me.  It worked.  I said he could get a projector.

Little did I know that he meant the whole package – the projector – the screen – 8 speakers to hang around the room – and two towers to house a whole mess of electronics he wanted to connect to the projector and speakers.

I did put my foot down when he wanted to  gigantic speakers from the ceiling but other than that, I’ve been pretty happy with the thing.  If I REALLY had my way, though, the whole thing would be in its own room with some really cool seats and home theater lighting instead of in my living/dining room.

It’s not too bad since the screen goes up and the speakers blend in where they are (in a cabinet).   But a girl can dream.

Congratualtions

So the house sold and alot of people have been offering us congratulations.  Each time I hear it though, I get confused.

My first thought is always, “I’m not pregnant!  How rude of them to assume I am!”

Then I think, “They’re not usually that rude and they DID sound sincere….Maybe they weren’t talking about what I thought they were talking about.”

Then I think, “Well if they aren’t congratulating me on being pregnant, what on Earth could they be talking about?”

Hmmmmm…..

Oh yeah, they must be talking about the house.

“Thank you!” I say quickly each time.  Little do they know the list of comebacks I was planning on picking a retort from before I figured out what was going on.

This little hang up of mine comes from me being pregnant often and when I’m not pregnant, people ask if I am.  Without fail it’s a female asking.  You’d think they would know not to do that.

Oh well.
