Each time April rolls around I have to remember to pay the premium on the kids’ life insurance policies. That’s right, I insure the kids. It’s just enough to cover a funeral but I have no intention of ever saving up for something like that so the only way I would ever afford a decent burial is if they’re insured. Of course, nothing is ever going to happen but having the insurance gives me one fewer thing to worry about.

One Fewer Thing to Worry About
Friday, April 25th, 2008Life is idyllic.
Friday, April 25th, 2008Finally the last horrible week has ended. Scarlet fever is gone, impetigo has cleared up and constipation has set in (that’s far better than the alternative). I get to sleep in tomorrow and then go for a bike ride. My life is practically idyllic.
Unless you count the fact that my daughter just broke down because I won’t take off her shoe and my younger sin shoved a stretchy frog where a stretchy frog should never be shoved. (Don’t panic – he put it inside a hard to reach portion of a transformer.)
I don’t count those little quirks so life IS idyllic.
