My oldest got into a fight at school this week.  He started it.  At least he did if you call saying “Let’s have a fight contest” starting it.  This is wrong.  (But the person he challenged had been bullying him for a couple weeks with his 3 friends and I thought it would pass and was clearly WAY wrong.)

This precipitated a conversation about what makes a person a bully and I found his definition funny.  According to him you’re only a bully if you hit people and kick them in the p***s.  When I looked askance at this, he corrected himself.  It’s when you hit people and kick them in the rectum. I should have corrected him and told him that he surely must mean the gluteous maximus, but who am I to quibble with a first grader.

He cried when I punished him because I did the worst thing any parent can do to their child.  I took away video games for three weeks.
