I know we’re all addicted to the Google ads and those other ads that take up so much space on out web pages. It’s a nice way to make a little extra cash but have you tried out the Pay Per Play ads yet? Instead of taking up space, they play a 5 second ad and allow you to get paid without anyone having to click on something. With those others, I feel like I’ll get in trouble if someone clicks too often. What if someone thinks it’s me clicking just trying to get money when it’s actually someone else? You don’t need to worry about that with Pay Per Play so you can fell more relaxed having these ads on your site.

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008Are You Smarter than a First Grader?
Tuesday, January 15th, 2008I have been helping my first grader with his math homework and I’m surprised at some of what they have covered. It may just be my memory failing me but I don’t think I covered greater than and less than until 3rd grade and today they actually introduced the word function. It’s nice that they aren’t going to spring that one on him in high school when the concept is so abstract that it’s impossible to understand. This sets some groundwork for him understanding it later. Of course, if they don’t mention it again between now and then, this has been pointless. I’m optimistic though.
The Ever Important Office Desk
Tuesday, January 15th, 2008Hello, you business minded people out there. Nothing will allow you to get more organized at work than an office desk. A ‘desk’ made with two file cabinets and a door laying across the tops does not count. You will feel more official and have more capacity if you finish off the office with a desk. Office desks can have a dual purpose as both a place to file papers and the storage closet for office supplies – possibly eliminating the need for those two pieces of furniture. No more junk strewn across the door, no more pens falling on the floor never to be seen again. Even if you work from home, you will inevitably end up with some kind of paperwork that you need to access from time to time and a card table isn’t going to help you out. Get a desk and clean up your office.
Hiho Hiho, Off to Paint I Go
Tuesday, January 15th, 2008Another day, another home improvement project. I removed all the hideous contact paper from the kitchen cabinets (or as much as I can remove) and I’m gonna start priming today. At least that’s my goal but first I have to scrape peeling paint and clean out an inch of dust from the top cabinets. Even when I stand on the counter I can’t see into those cabinets. They go completely unused except for things we don’t plan on using – or even plan on remembering we have. Should be thoroughly gross. Wish me luck.
